Green Week

To chime with the sustainability targets with regard to waste reduction on campus, our student green ambassadors (LAMPers) organised a series of activities, featured with ‘no food waste’ and ‘no disposable’, from 5 to 9 November 2018. The determination of LAMPers seems to be stronger than ever that they wrote their own tongue twister as well as lyrics to promote food waste and plastic-free living. Besides, they also collected 13.8 kg of surplus food and donated it to a local food bank, Christian Action, which aims to serve refugees in need. Green Week not only is a precious opportunity to raise university community’s awareness of environmental issues which are severely affecting their daily life, but also is a fun way to encourage them to get involved in green living.
