Green Delight in Estates 2019

BU GreenieS (BUGS) volunteers participated in the Green Delight in Estates voluntary services on 6 and 20 July 2019 in the public housing estates in Tin Shui Wai. The events were organised by the Hong Kong Housing Authority and Business Environment Council, aiming to raise the environmental awareness of Public Rental Housing residents and instill a culture of protecting and improving the environment.

Under the theme of “Waste Reduction and Recycling”, BUGS voluntary green ambassadors helped to educate the residents through games and promotional activities, facilitating the practices of waste reduction/recycling, waste separation at the source, estate greening, reducing the use of plastic bags, building up green infrastructure, promoting green practices, etc.
