Green Lunar New Year Fairs 2020

To facilitate waste reduction, volunteers assisted in the operation of the rental service of reusable tableware at the venues, checked the status of recycling bins to ensure clean recycling and educated the public about reducing the use of plastic bags and the concept of reuse.
In addition, volunteers also promoted the green event concept to booth owners and spread the message of waste minimisation to the general public through game booths.
Green Lunar New Year Fairs 2020
In support of the Hong Kong Government’s goal in reducing festive waste, student green ambassadors (LAMP) and BU GreenieS (BUGS) volunteers joined hands with organisers of Green Lunar New Year Fairs in January 2020 in Kwun Tong, Causeway Bay, Tsuen Wan and North District to promote the concept of green event to booth owners and educate the public about clean recycling and resource sharing.
